The Rite/Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA/OCIA) is a process for becoming members of the Catholic Church.
It is for those who have never been baptized, those baptized in another denomination and those
Catholics baptized as infants, but never educated in the Faith. Contact Deacon Medenwalt if you are
interested in being a sponsor.

RITE/ORDER OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS ADAPTED FOR CHILDREN

The Rite/Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA/OCIA) Adapted for Children is for children who have reached Catechetical age and
have not been baptized. The RCIA/OCIA is the normal process that will prepare them for Baptism and
other Initiation Sacraments.

RITE OF CONFIRMATION

The Confirmation process begins with Religious Education registration
in Aug./Sept. of the 9th grade year. Two Sundays of the month are set
aside for the 3 hour classes beginning January through April and Sept.
through approximately February or March (depending on the schedule set
by the Archdiocese). A weekend retreat in July is set aside for the candidates.
