BLOOD DRIVE

Blood Drives are held twice yearly. Our compassionate parishioners help make these drives a great success. Please help us in saving lives by giving the gift of life, or volunteer to assist prior to the blood drive with scheduling appointments after Masses, or help with making reminder phone calls. Your generous donation of only 1 pint of blood can save up to 3 lives! Please be a lifesaver and give today.

CRAFT FAIR

The only fund-raiser for the Women's Guild is the annual Nativity Craft Fair, which runs two days in November. It is a well-known event in the Broomfield community with several hundred in attendance. Help from any parishioner is welcome and appreciated. Also needed are donations of baked goods (handled by the 7th grade class) and craft items.

FUNERAL DINNERS
The committee determines the needs and solicits food dishes from gracious and generous parishioners. Nativity provides the meat dish, bread, drinks, and condiments. Parishioners interested in volunteering may contact any of the Committee members:

GOLDEN LADIES

A social organization established for widows, with monthly meetings, to get acquainted and interact socially. Activities include potlucks, guest speakers, Christmas parties, theater performances, breakfast and dinner outings, and more!

ICE CREAM SOCIAL
It's a fun, free social event for the whole parish, but we need you to make it happen. Help at the summer ice cream social by assisting with an activity. No experience necessary. Adults, teens and families are welcome to help. Watch for sign-up sheets available 2-3 weeks prior to the event. Families need to sign up early to insure you can work together.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

Nativity of Our Lord Council # 10961. A fraternal service organization of Catholic gentlemen whose precepts involve charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. Activities are in the area of youth, community, church, council and fraternity. Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Weibel 1 < 2.

LIBRARY [PARISH]

We invite you to come and explore the many resources our Parish Library has to offer (i.e., books, audio books, videos, and music CDs) and treat yourself to a few quiet moments or checkout an item to take home. The library is located just next to the gym and is open every Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Monday through Friday during Parish Office hours.

M.A.S.H. MEN'S MINISTRY

The purpose of M.A.S.H. (Men Actively Seeking Holiness) is to bring Christ into the many challenging roles men play in today's world through small faith sharing groups, to mentor and be mentored. We invite you to join us on Saturday mornings from 7:00-8:30 a.m., at the LifeTeen house next to the church, and start a journey that will challenge you in ways never before challenged.

RESPECT LIFE

The Respect Life Committee affirms that human life is a gift from God to be protected from the moment of conception until natural death. In keeping with the National Conference of Catholic Bishops' (USCCB) "Pastoral Plan for Pro-life Activities" our committee pursues this mission in the following areas: education, pastoral care and outreach, public information and public policy formulation and awareness. Parish committee members are kept informed via email. Involvement as a committee member can be as simple as your prayers, or discerning about participation in a variety of events and programs.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

An outreach program of the community, members of the Society visit the homes of those in need to assess the problems and determine how our parish community can help...food, clothing, housing, services and in some cases finances. They are fully supported through contributions to the "poor boxes".

SOUP KITCHEN

Nativity of Our Lord volunteers assist at the Catholic Worker Soup Kitchen located at the St. Francis Center on the fifth Wednesday of each month. Meet at the Parish Center no later than 2:00 p.m. and return approximately 5:00 p.m.

GROWING HOME

We work with an organization that helps families who are currently homeless become self sufficient. Our part is to house families in this program four times a year at our Youth House. We have the opportunity to interact with these families by offering hospitality, food and friendship. The fall dates for hosting are October 5-12 and November 23-30, 2008.

TIME OUT FOR FRIENDSHIP (T.O.F.F.)

SAMARITAN HOUSE

Nativity adopted the Samaritan House last year. Needs of this ministry include donations of clothing and reusable items for all ages. Also needed are people for Monday nights to serve and spend time with the clients who are temporarily housed there.

WOMEN'S GUILD

Every lady parishioner, 18+ years is automatically a member of the Guild. The purpose of the Women's Guild is to encourage the spiritual growth and social enrichment of our members as well as to carry out projects in our parish. We always welcome new leadership and new ideas to enhance our many projects.

9HEALTH FAIR

We host the 9Health Fair here at Nativity on a Saturday in April each year. 9Health Fair is Colorado's largest and most trusted non-profit health fair program and offers free and low-cost health awareness screenings in hundreds of communities around Colorado. There are over 100 volunteer opportunities available.

UNITED WITH MIGRANTS, INC.

United With Migrants Inc. (UWM) is a faith-based organization, dedicated to aiding and advocating for the migrant community in our area. We seek guidance from the Gospel to be an advocate for justice by addressing the spiritual, legal, educational, employment, health and physical needs of migrants and their families in order to foster a sense of solidarity, dignity and self-esteem.

United With Migrants goals and objectives are to directly support the efforts of Sister Molly Munoz, C.H.M. and assist her directly to bring relief to the migrant community in Denver and the surrounding areas of Adams and Weld Counties. In addition to continuing our direct service to this underserved population, we have plans to provide new and innovative opportunities to become economically self-sufficient, empowering them to move from quasi-dependency to self-sufficiency. Our current focused goal is to establish a full service migrant center to be called Sr. Molly's House in Brighton, Co.
